For almost 30 years Avondale has offered an alternative style of primary elementary & secondary education in the public system to students throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Avondale is a small, safe, family-like school with an intimate and personal environment. The school is located in the northern central part of Metro Toronto. The main intersections are: Sheppard Avenue & Yonge Street, tucked away in the quiet family community of Lansing/ Willowdale (in the former City of North York). At Avondale, students learn in a small, rigorous academic setting where close working relationships with staff and students are valued and celebrated. Success at Avondale requires students to develop strong study habits, self-discipline and increasingly independent learning skills as they move from junior kindergarten through to grade 12 graduation.
